Graduate Programme Description

Purpose: To create a database that will be used to appoint candidates on student-in-training fixed-term contracts for work-integrated learning, experiential learning or internship in the City of Tshwane in the following areas of study:

Fields of study:

• Finance / Internal audit
• Information Technology
• Communication / Marketing / Heritage / Tourism
• Administration / Public Administration
• Legal
• Aviation
• City Planning and Surveying
• Engineering / Project management
• Water and Water treatment
• Horticulture / Environmental Management
• Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Health
• Language Practice
• Librarians (library and information science)
• Sport and Recreation
• Social work
• Transport Management

The candidates will be contracted for a period of 12 months (university graduate) or 18 months (occupational) through a formal City of Tshwane student-in-training contract to be trained in their relevant field of study under the supervision of a dedicated mentor.

Qualifying Criteria:

• Must have completed a qualification such as N6, Diploma, National Diploma, or Degree in a study field related to the above-mentioned fields
• Must be a resident of Tshwane
• Must require work experience of 12 to 18 months
