Internship Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Coordinator Intern to join our team in the financial services industry. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in facilities management within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of our facilities department, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace.
Location: Johannesburg, KZN and Cape Town
Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating and overseeing daily facilities operations, including maintenance, repairs, and office moves.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Help manage inventory of office supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper functioning.
- Support with the coordination of safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Assist in the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service requests.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
- Assist with producing progress performance and activity reports.
- Report on SLA performance of vendors.
- Assist in incident management and reporting.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in:
- Facilities Management,
- Business Administration,
- Or Engineering.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A basic understanding of health and safety regulations is an advantage.
- You will be required to work on standby as and when required.
