Internship Description
Transnet Corporate Centre and Academy is looking for dynamic and qualified graduates for a two-year programme (24 months programme). This programme will provide the incumbents with relevant workplace experience through a structured learning programme and organizational support.
Responsibilities:
The Young Professional will be trained and exposed to various business areas;
- Delivering specific tasks within a work-stream/department
- As a Young-Professional-In-Training, your responsibilities include shadowing various staff members, participating in learning experiences, attending meetings and workshops, with exposure to other working functions within procurement to gain practical experience on the following deliverables:
- Communicate with customers to ensure a clear understanding of their needs, including the level of urgency as well as keep them updated regularly on the progress of their requirements Serve as the central contact point for supplier and end-user queries and ensure that queries are addressed in a satisfactory and timeous manner;
- Provide general administrative, research and assistance.
- Take work briefs/instructions from Mentor and/or Specialist to structure the work required to produce the specific project or deliverable
- Execute project work tasks effectively and efficiently as an individual and collaboratively.
