Internship Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an exciting opportunity for an Integration Developer Graduate to join our IT Team for a 12-month Internship programme. The Dischem Integration Developer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining different integration solutions across multiple systems. This role will coordinate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and configure Dischem integration solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Server Hardware and Operating System installation.
  • Plan, manage, implement, support, administer and/or monitor integration solutions and middleware for on-premise, cloud or hybrid scenarios.
  • Plan and conduct workshops, design and build integrations and interfaces, and create plans for data Integration and Unit testing.
  • Communicating effectively with project team members at different technical knowledge levels and often remotely using technology like Teams.
  • Identify test data for unit testing, integration testing and user acceptance, working with the client’s functional consultants for validation of test results.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 – Matric or a Senior Certificate
  • Degree or Diploma in:
    • Computer Science,
    • Computer Information Systems,
    • Information Technology
    • or a related field
    • or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Programming languages such as C# .Net or Java. Scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, CSS, and HTML.
  • South African Citizen
  • MIE, clear criminal and credit

Advantageous:

  • Experience in relational databases will be beneficial with the ability to interpret and write SQL statements.
