Graduate Programme Description
The Africa Talent work readiness program is a performance enhancement programme where young people engage with each other and our leadership, through peer-to-peer conversation and experiential coaching and mentoring to support the development of critical skills needed in the business environment.
You will develop, amongst others: business process design, time management, conflict resolution, emotional resilience, critical thinking and business solutions. These lifelong skills will certainly enhance the future employability and mobility of a new generation of Deloitte professionals.
As a young graduate employed in the program, you will be upskilled to serve clients with distinction so that we continue to be entrenched as the strongest and most valued brand amongst our competitors. As part of this program, you will gain experience in the form of formal learning and exposure to client engagements.
Location: Johannesburg and Cape Town
Responsibilities:
- Work with a high profile experienced internal audit team to understand processes and systems of businesses in various sectors and industries, review their risk and controls environment and report to various stakeholders of the business
- Participate and focus on addressing issues relating to accounting and financial reporting, risk, and internal control systems.
- Be involved in the preparation and review of high-quality planning and reporting of deliverables for review by internal management and subsequently for issue to clients.
- Support Internal Audit Management in developing progress reports for Senior Management and Audit Committees.
- Engage and network with colleagues working across the Deloitte Risk Advisory Services in Ireland, NSE and Global offices.
- Develop and build your own personal brand alongside Deloitte’s by engaging in internal department initiatives such as training, business development activities, coaching, world-class volunteering and graduate recruitment.

Completed or Final year qualification in any of the following fields:
- B Comm in Accounting
- Law
- Risk Management
- Finance / Economics
Assurance and Reporting Graduate Programme
Completed or Final year qualification in any of the following fields:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business / Sustainability
- Engineering degree (including a master’s combining business and sustainability)
- Any other relevant degree is advantageous
NB. A postgraduate qualification in any of the above streams is advantageous.
Experience
- No previous work experience required
- Demonstrates an interest and passion for understanding technology and its applicability in the world of business.
