Internship Description
The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) invites unemployed graduates to apply for the 24-month Internship Programme. The purpose of the Programme is to equip successful candidates with practical skills, knowledge and work experience within the SIU’s National Investigations Division.

Forensic Accounting Intern
B Degree or National Diploma with specialisation in:
- Accounting Sciences
- Financial Accounting
- Auditing
- Management Accounting
Internal Audit Intern
B Degree or National Diploma specialisation in:
- Internal Audit
Information and Communication Technology Intern
B Degree or National Diploma in:
- Computer Science or
- Information Technology
Researcher Intern
B Degree or National Diploma in:
- Human Sciences
- Social Sciences
- Research
- Or equivalent
Case Assessment Intern
B Degree in:
- Law (NQF 7)
Prevention, Advisory and Awareness Intern
B Degree or National Diploma in:
- Marketing or
- Forensic Investigations
Market Data Analytics Intern
B Degree or National Diploma in:
- Statistics
- Mathematical
- Computer Science
Forensic Cyber / Digital Analytics Intern
B Degree or National Diploma in:
- Cyber Forensics
- Computer Science or Information Technology specialising in Cyber Forensics or Digital Analytics

Please note:
- The SIU internship programme is targeted for the youth ages 18 – 35.
- Candidates must not be currently participating in another internship programme or have previously participated in an internship programme.
- Candidates must be unemployed.
- Candidates must be South African citizens.
