Internship Description

This position works out of our Johannesburg location in the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics division. In this division, our rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world’s greatest healthcare challenges. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe.  

Responsibilities:

• Human Resources administration of records & system as required.
• Administrative tasks include maintaining personnel records, managing HR Documents (e.g., employment records and onboarding guides) and updating internal databases.
• Should be able to ensure the HR department supports employees while conforming to labour laws.
• Ad hoc projects including assisting the HRD with audit information gathering and tracking thereof.
• Any other Ad hoc duties related to the department.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in:

• Human Resource Management,
• Industrial Psychology
• or Related

Skills and Competencies:

• Basic Computer Skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• No experience is preferred- i.e., the organization is seeking to hire newly graduated candidates.
• Must live in Johannesburg.
• Excellent time management skills, be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Energetic, and highly motivated.
• Strong attention to detail
