Learnership Description

Over the course of each project, you will collaborate with client team members in the following areas but not limited to:

• Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis that underpins recommendations, using data mining, financial modelling, valuation analysis, market research and business intelligence gathering techniques​.
• Working with client team members to define problems concisely and generate solutions that meet their needs and add value to their business​.
• Consolidating findings from analysis and presenting comprehensive solutions to clients​.
• Developing and presenting a detailed plan to implement recommended changes, working with clients to address any concerns and ensuring seamless execution​.
• Contributing to the creation of compelling and visually engaging client presentations, proposals, and reports.

In addition, you will be expected to: 

• Maintain the highest professional and ethical standards in all activities, acting with integrity and commitment to excellence​.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and other learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry trends​.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s processes and systems, leveraging insights and ideas to drive positive change.

You will receive training and coaching on how to better:

• Structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve them.
• Synthesize clear takeaways from complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Work effectively with diverse teams to come up with the best solution and move people and organizations to act.
• Establish trust-based relationships with clients to better serve their organizations.
• Communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner.
• Develop your leadership style, leveraging your own passions, strengths, and personal values.

Please take note

• Placements will take place in Gauteng (Johannesburg).
• The youth will be employed on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
• The application closing date is 13 May 2023.

Requirements:

• Unemployed youth aged between 18 and 29​ who meet the definition of “Black People” as defined in the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act 53 of 2003 as amended by Act 46 of 2013.​
• South African citizen​ with no criminal record.​
• No previous participation in a YES program​.
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum)​.
• Basic skills in research, analysis, presentation, and attention to detail.​
• Aptitude to grasp new concepts and effectively produce results​.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills​.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team​.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines​.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Sound work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and exceptional client service.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills – an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset​.

Language Requirements

• Fluent in English.
